Vice President, Web Developer, Credit

Role Summary

Mid/Senior level web technology developer, working within a small team of 8-10 developers providing the web service layer for a financial services company.

Duties and Accountabilities

Implementation of financial services and website software using Java and Oracle technologies, working within a small team of developers. The role will be expected to provide direction to junior developers/graduates in the team on building website and front ends using Java technologies.

Business Competencies

• The right candidate will have a very strong academic or equivalent background in a numerate discipline.
• Demonstrable professional programming experience, with proven experience of building websites and front ends in an OO environment is essential.
• Knowledge of modern Java web technologies advantageous.
• The ideal candidate will also demonstrate extensive OO programming, examples of previous sites built, and have strong opinions on best programming practices.

Personal Competencies

• The ideal candidate will be able to provide effective direction and advice to other junior roles.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills and fluent English essential.
• Proven ability to work within successful programming teams is essential.
